So to day we are going to discuss about the EOTS , which is going to be placed on the advanced medium combat aircraft that is the amca . So to start with the BLOG we first need to know that what  is a EOTS system , and how does it helps The Fighter Pilots to track enemy aircraft . starting with the full form of eots , it stands for electro-optical targeting system , which is an  high-performance, lightweight, multi-function system that provides precision air-to-air and air-to-surface targeting capability  Usually fighter aircraft use radar to detect the enemy aircraft , but since the technology has advanced and with the introduction of radar warning receivers , it is very easy for the enemy aircraft to pickup the searching aircraft , as the radar which detects aircraft releases radio waves which can be picked up by The Radar warning receiver and ,  if such scenarios occur where the radars of an aircraft are jammed by the electronic  warfare  equipment of the ene

Should India consider buying a strategic bomber

Bombers are aircraft's which are used to destroy the enemies ground targets or providing close air support to the ground forces according to the modern classifications bombers can be classified into two parts  1. Tactical Bombers                                                                            2. Strategic bombers As compared to the strategic bombers tactical bombers are the aircraft which are smaller in size , faster , have lesser range  and can carry a limited amount of bombs with it for bombing missions . These type of aircraft are used to do special strikes in the enemies territory with precision like the Balakot strike of the Indian air force in Pakistan In other words we can say that these aircraft's are the most efficient aircraft's in the terms of economics of a force as they can carry very less payload to achieve maximum effect . Any fighter aircraft or a armed drone in the world  could be used as a tactical bomber where as on the other han

What does the elephant walk by the IAF means

The term Elephant walk dates back to the  WORLD WAR 2 when the large fleets of bombers had to take of for the bombing missions in europe and it included more t5han 1000 bomber aircrafts . Those who observed this said that the taxing of the aircraft from nose to tail configuration taking off in a single filed  looked like elephants walking in a field and from there the term elephant walk originated     The benefits of these exercises is that a airforce can show its strength of deploying maximum numbers of its aircrafts at a given point of time and this also depicts the bond of synergy between the airmen and the pilots of different squadrons in a air force  As advised by the Prime Minister of India to celebrate the 75 years of independence all around the country and as well as the armed forces the IAF has done its part and has payed its homage to the fallen heroes of India  both before and after the independence by conducting a massive elephant walk on its Ambala Air Force base which
