Should India consider buying a strategic bomber

Bombers are aircraft's which are used to destroy the enemies ground targets or providing close air support to the ground forces

according to the modern classifications bombers can be classified into two parts

1. Tactical Bombers

2. Strategic bombers

As compared to the strategic bombers tactical bombers are the aircraft which are smaller in size , faster , have lesser range  and can carry a limited amount of bombs with it for bombing missions . These type of aircraft are used to do special strikes in the enemies territory with precision like the Balakot strike of the Indian air force in Pakistan

In other words we can say that these aircraft's are the most efficient aircraft's in the terms of economics of a force as they can carry very less payload to achieve maximum effect .

Any fighter aircraft or a armed drone in the world  could be used as a tactical bomber where as on the other hand strategic bombers are those aircraft's which are bigger in size , have huge ranges , carry maximum payload to do carpet bombing

Carpet bombing is known as saturation bombing , it is a large area bombardment done in manner to inflict maximum damage to a selected area of the enemies land . The phrase evokes a image of explosions completely covering a area in the same way a carpet covers a floor . Carpet bombings is achieved by dropping many unguided bombs in the target area

The strategic bombers are used to cripple the enemies ability to fight back in the form of destroying the enemies air defenses , military installations , logistics bases etc . Moreover the edge which a strategic bomber does have over the tactical bomber is that they can be used during the unprecedented times of a nuclear war as , as compared to the tactical bombers which can carry not more than 2 nuclear bombs at a time (due to safety reasons )  the strategic bombers can carry more than 10 to 12 nuclear bombs at a  time and also they can carry both supersonic and hyper sonic cruise missiles on which the nukes can also be deployed and for a defense system top destroy these missile is very difficult

WHY    DOES   INDIA   NEED   BOMBER

People argue that for India it is not moral to posses a strategic bomber aircraft as they can cause harm to innocent civilians in large numbers but it is not like that because it is not the first time that India is thinking of operating a strategic bomber . Ever since its independence the Indian air force had been operating all types of heavy and light bombers such as the British Bristol Blenheim

 or the American B 24 J Liberator

More over if we consider the copying capacity of the Chinese it is very much possible that with the new H 20 Chinese bombers possess a great threat to the India as if not the from the North East of India and even they can come from their future bases in Pakistan or from the Island nations in the Indian ocean region

So to counter these threats India needs to work on both the aspects i.e the offensive counter and the defensive counter . As of now the India air force have publicly stated that they are working in the collaboration with the DRDO to make over the horizon radar  which would be able to detect even stealth bombers from thousands of kilometres away

But when it comes to the offensive counters like actual strategic bombers India doesn't seems to do well in this field but the options which are open to the indian air force can be

1. conversion of the GHATAK UCAV into a bigger version a manned stealth bomber

2. purchasing any of the functional bombers like the

                                                       american B 52 Stratofortress

which is very highly unlikely as the still he US can not afford to sell any of its prestigious aircraft to a foreign countries and the last option with which the Indian air force could go is the russian

TU 22 M3

 and the                                                                  TU 160

CONCLUSION

India  should be working on both the types of the counter measures for the chinese bombers i.e the bombers and new OTH Radars and when it comes to which type of bomber india should look more towards the russian bomber TU 160 as it is the worlds biggst bomber as well as the worlds fastest bomber

EOTS for the AMCA mk 2 , a game changer for the Indian Air Force

So to day we are going to discuss about the EOTS , which is going to be placed on the advanced medium combat aircraft that is the amca . So to start with the BLOG we first need to know that what  is a EOTS system , and how does it helps The Fighter Pilots to track enemy aircraft . starting with the full form of eots , it stands for electro-optical targeting system , which is an  high-performance, lightweight, multi-function system that provides precision air-to-air and air-to-surface targeting capability  Usually fighter aircraft use radar to detect the enemy aircraft , but since the technology has advanced and with the introduction of radar warning receivers , it is very easy for the enemy aircraft to pickup the searching aircraft , as the radar which detects aircraft releases radio waves which can be picked up by The Radar warning receiver and ,  if such scenarios occur where the radars of an aircraft are jammed by the electronic  warfare  equipment of the ene

Did pakistani navy realy spotted a INDIAN Navy's Submarine

Pakistan on Tuesday made stunning allegations against India and accused the Indian Navy of trespassing into its territorial waters on October 16 . The Pakistani twitter handles and the Pakistani navy itself claimed that the Pakistani navy's P 3C Orion anti submarine aircraft have detected an Indian Navy's diesel electric submarine in the Pakistani EEZ waters  The Pakistani P3 Orion is an US maid anti submarine aircraft made in 1960's for the US navy and 3 such aircrafts where later delivered to the Pakistani navy in 1996 to 1997 and these aircrafts where the aircrafts which where used by the Pakistani navy in the 1999 Kargil war , as the Pakistanis have had realized at that time that the Indian navy might attack the Karachi harbor again like the 1971 war's Operation Trident REALITY OF THE PAKISTANI CLAIM 1.  The video clip released the Pakistanis is that the Pakistani navy's P3 have detected the Indian navy's Submarine in the Pakistani ocean . FUTURE OF MMRCA 2.0

The indian air force on 28 August 2007 initiated a program MRCA or  Multi role combat aircraft to procure a total of 126 fighter aircrafts at a cost of 55,000 crore rupees or $7.7 billion and the programme was to fulfill the gap between the Lighter fighter i the indian air force i.e the LCA Tejas and the heavyweight fighter SU 30 MKI The contest featured 6 fighters from all around the world and they are as follows American F 18 and F21 which was the upgraded variant of the american F 16  which is also used by Pakistan , French Rafale , European union's Eurofighter Typhoon , Russian Mig 35 and t5he swedish SAAB Gripen   . On 27 April 2011 after a rigorous tech evaluation by the Indian air force the Eurofighter Typhoon and the French Rafale where selected but since both the aircrafts where of the western origin , They had very high cost and the budget exceeded the  allotted fund for the programme . And at the same time the Indian air force had ver
