INDIA is among the world`s fastest growing economy in the world and with great economic power there comes a great military power 

With an economy of  $3.1 trillion India is the worlds fifth biggest economy in terms of nominal GDP and also has a $10 trillion PPP (purchasing power parity) and also INDIA is the 4th most powerfull nation  in the world 

All the neighbours of india are pro india except china and pakistan with whom india has fought the wars of 1947,1965,1971,1999 with pakistanth pakistan and 1962 ,1967 war with china

thus pakistan and china had been the traditional enemies of india

China is a Communist country and always try to supress any voices which raise against the chinese communist party and china  just like the many occupied territories

remember china is the only country in the world which has borders with 14 countries and has border disputes with 22 nations which means it has claimson the territories of those nations with which the land border of china does not even meet

there are only two neighbous of china which can give china atough time and they areINDIA and RUSSIA to come up against it china maintained good relations with russia because russia is the only country which can produce weapons which are able to stand up against the west more over ruaaia had a communist history of the USSR so the ideologies and goals of both the countries converged 

where as on the other hand india was a democratic county and the indian style of governance converged with the west so china didn`t likes india amd it made every effort to contain india because afterthe dissolution of the USSR india was the only economic power that had the capability to compete with the chinese because of its giant workforce and india was also a growing militarysuperpower 

china is a net exporter county and a net importer of oil and for its trade china has to rely on the mellaca strait or on the strait of sundu

 so as to enter the Indian Ocean region for the export of all its goods to the world and nearly 80% of the chinese trade passes through the indian ocean region so if on any fine day china decides to go on a war with INDIA 

then the indian navy have the capability to bring the chinese on their knees as in the indian ocean region the indian navy is the most powerfull navy and they can cut all of the chinese trade routes and the supply of oil to the chinese mainland  

So china under the name of string of pearls tried to make bases all surrounding India according to which all the chinese military bese will be built around india so that india at any given point of time in war like situations would not be able to break the circle which was made around it

all thanks the chinese CCP and PLA who tried to capture indian territory in Galwan in 2020 where 20 indian slodies got martyred and 43 chinese soldiers got killed by indian army and they got a bloody nose in galwan

and it was then that the indian government made hardcore attempts to counter the chinese string of pearls by pushing its iron curtain policy on its maximum speed and trapped the  chinese string of pearls with its iron curtain

india also started signing military logistics agrements with USA, UK, FRANCE, JAPAN , AUSTRALIA 

 which means in any case of war with china india can use their military bases and which means that india had a direct axis to the south china sea which is called the door of people`s republic of china

More over India has also increased its participation in the QUAD [quadrilateral security dialogue] which contains four countries INDIA , USA , AUSTRALIA , JAPAN 

Where all 4 countries with try to counter chinse agression in in the south china sea , indo pacific and the indian ocean by conducting the inter operability with each other by conducting military exercises in the indo pacific and the outh china sea
